2009 Winners

Thank you to everyone who took part in our very first BlogHer@Home, both attendees and sponsors.  We were lucky to have an amazing group of people who participated and we had such a great time putting it on.  Hopefully we’ll be able to make next year even better.

A special thank you to the Room 704 ladies for organizing (and packaging, and shipping) the swag bags.  We love you guys.

I know you guys have been chomping at the bit to get the ‘official’ winners list, so without further ado, here it is:

A huge thank you (and lots of love) to everyone who took part.

5 Ways to {Blank} Your Blog (aka How to get BlogHer SWAG!)

I am a tinkerer. I’m always looking for new and wonderful ways to improve my blog.  I’ll add here, remove there, change this, alter that.  So one of my top books on my summer reading list is Deb Rox’s (she blogs at Deb on the Rocks and celebrates blogger’s birthdays at Hot Blog Stars) new book “5 Ways to {Blank} Your Blog“.  It has been getting RAVE reviews from everyone who’s seen it.

So when I opened my email and saw an email from Deb saying “Hey, I have a copy of my book for you guys to give away to your BlogHer@Home attendees”, I was literally bouncing up and down.

But of course, Deb doesn’t do anything by halves.

5waystoblankyourblog 150x150 5 Ways to {Blank} Your Blog (aka How to get BlogHer SWAG!)Not only is she going to send one lucky winner this fantastic book, but she’s throwing in real, honest to goodness, BlogHer swag.  That’s right people.  All of you peeps who have been writing and asking how you can get your hands on some of the goodness that the conference attendees get… This is how.

Deb’s bringing one of these boxes that can ship all you can cram in it for $13.95, and she’s going to cram it full of swag for one very lucky winner. There will be swag from parties, the expo floor, the registration bag.  And if you’re really lucky you might even get things like a Backpacking Dad’s cocktail napkin and a lock of hair from The Bloggess‘ confidence wig.  It will be like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Blog Swag, delivered to your door.  Oh, and if the winner get us your address right away, Deb will ship the whole thing from Chicago, while she’s there.  That’s how authentic this swag is going to be.

So here’s how to get your hot copy of 5 Ways to {Blank} Your Blog and some REAL BlogHer swag:

SWAG!!!! (Thanks Room704)

Now… the moment you’ve all been waiting for…

*drum roll please*

It’s SWAG TIME!

OK, let’s get the basics out of the way – what is SWAG:
Swag is Stuff We All Get.  Yup that about sums it up.  SWAG at conferences can be everything from T-Shirts to pens (booooooring)

That’s why we teamed up with the rockin’ gals of Room 704.

These ladies have a whole bag of goodies for the BlogHer@Home Attendees!!

How awesome is that.  (Did we mention we LOVE Room 704 and their party will be on our must attend list at BlogHer next year?)

So how does it work?

Well it’s pretty easy.  Click here and Room 704 have provided all the details on how to get your hands on the best SWAG around!

Apron Frenzy!

Chocolate chip cookies.  I could live on them.  Seriously.  Don’t they cover most of the food groups?

I don’t get to bake nearly as often as I’d like.  When I do though, I’m the type who uses every pot and pan in the house.  Sure it’s a bit of a disaster, but the end result? MMMmmmmm.

Baking, for the longest time also meant changing my clothes after, because I have the terrible habbit of dusting my hands off on my pants.  I’d end up with the dreaded ring of flour all over my clothes.   That is, until I grabbed a clue and started using an apron.  Sure it’s a bit Martha Stewert, but if it saves me changing for the third time in one day (not to mention the additional laundry), I’m all for it.  And my husband gets a bit of a kick seeing me in an apron.  For some reason he thinks it’s totally hawt.  I’m sure he’s just imagining if I was wearing only the apron.  Perv.

apronfrenzy Apron Frenzy!Anyway, when Vickie from the Vixen Den let us know she had an apron up for grabs from her fab Apron Frenzy line, I was stoked!  And it is gorgeous.

I love this floral half apron.  It’s not my mother’s apron, that’s for sure.  It’s modern and fresh.  And you could win it during our BlogHer@Home giveaway!

Whoring Us Out

we need some swag, yo.  and i guess the whole way things like this work is by contacting people who know people…  “and they tell two friends, and they tell two friends…”

so tell two friends, please.  whore us out.  we’re offering free advertising, and c’mon, who wouldn’t want to get in on this sweet action?  i mean seriously.

i’ve offered to post pics of my boobs and say that you can touch if you give us toys… but i don’t think my husband would approve.

so we’re offering ad-space peeps…

helps us party with the best of ‘em who are attending BlogHer ‘09 and give us swag.  we’ll love you all the more for it… and i may be able to talk Sara in to posting pics of her boobs…
