Dine Without Whine (you can still have wine though)
I’m not a great cook. There. I said it. Oh, it’s not that what I do make tastes awful or anything. I can just never figure out what to make. I spend half an hour before dinner each day staring in the fridge (hoping something will jump out at me?)…then wandering to the pantry and staring intently at the shelves before wandering back to the fridge.
I’ve tried those meal planning calendars where you write down what you’re having each day, but I still struggle with that. I lack the inspiration. Even flipping through my numerous recipe books often results in a hastily prepared casserole because I lack the ingredients for anything better.
Enter Dine Without Whine. Founder Christine Steendahl has created a meal planning service especially for parents with kids. No fancy, impossible ingredients that you’ve never heard of, let alone know how to prepare. You get good, wholesome meals, and your family isn’t forced to eat Kraft Dinner for the third night in a row because you’re too exhausted to come up with anything better (not that that has EVER happened at my house… nope…never)
Every week, Dine Without Whine, emails you, not only a menu and recipes, but a full shopping list. Doesn’t get any easier.
If you’re like me, you’ve checked out other menu planning services. But when I get to their sample menus my inner monologue sounds a bit like “Wouldn’t eat it, wouldn’t eat it, DEFINTELY wouldn’t eat it, don’t know what the hell that is, ummm, yeah, I guess that one might be OK”
So when I checked out the sample menus for Dine Without Whine, I was pleasantly surprised. There was not one meal on there I wouldn’t make. Seriously.
Here’s the best part. Christine is offering one lucky BlogHer@Home attendee a LIFETIME membership to Dine Without Whine.
Yeah. Lifetime. As in, FREE FOREVER. As in, you’re going to be the Mom that all the other kids want as their mom because you make the best meals.
Here’s how it can be yours:

I could totally use this. I plan my own menus each week and some are better than others. Last night I made cider beef stew. Kids loves it, adults, not so much. Most of the time it’s the opposite and the kids end up eating Chef Boyardee.

My dinner time challenges:
My 3yo refuses to eat unless it’s meat pie, nuggets, “snack” like, cake or rhymes with pocklate.
My hubby likes meat, potatoes and vegetable, bread AND dessert – all must be present or it’s not dinner.
I prefer fish or maybe chicken with a salad. Oh and I’m a food snob.
Gah! Try feeding THIS lot!
The only thing better than this would be if someone came and cooked it for me too!

With all the feeding issues we have already (with 3 y/o), I can only imagine the whine we have in store for us in the future! Finding a way around that sounds fabulous. Planned menus and grocery lists?? Sign me up. Now, to find someone to shop for me……
Thanks for the chance to enter!
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Biggest dinner time challenges currently are getting Hubs to be home in time to all eat together (ugh) and getting 3 y/o who’s been tube-fed ’til now to start trying things by mouth. Oy. I need help. :-)

What an awesome idea! I was just complaining to my husband how sick I am of making two or three different meals for dinner each night. No one can agree on what they like and I swear my 10 year old only eats things that are beige.
HMMMMMMM…fooood.

This sounds like a great thing to win!!!
Heh, we actually just had a conversation about this at my house. Apparently, one of our mealtime challenges, is that a certain SOMEONE is bored with my making the same 5-10 meals. I told him he could cook whenever he wanted, but secretly, I agree….

Fave sample meal – chrispy pork cutlets.
My biggest mealtime challange would be getting home at 6pm and having exactly 5 minutes to make dinner!
